Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn Gets Two Fantastic Themes for PC and PS3

Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn Gets Two Fantastic Themes for PC and PS3

At the beginning of the month Square Enix promised two Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn themes for Windows and PS3. Today they released them and you can download the windows version here and the PS3 version here.

To activate the Windows version (that will work with Windows 7, Windows RT and Windows 8) you just need to double click on the file. Installing the PS3 version on your PS3 is a little more tricky. You need to get a USB key, create a folder named “PS3″ and then another folder named “THEME” inside it. Then Plug the USB key in your PS3, go to Settings, then Theme Settings, Themes, Install, select your USB key and the Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn theme. Finally, you’ll just have to select it from the list.

As a side note, looks like Square Enix made a bit of a mistake, and left files with Japanese names inside the Windows version of the theme. If your Operating system isn’t Japanese you may have trouble getting the theme to work, but since I’m nice, I made a fixed version for you, while we wait for the original one to be fixed.  Of course DualShockers doesn’t take any responsibility for what it does to your computer yada yada. You’ll need to unzip the file before using it as explained above.

You can pick it up here.

The themes also include two new and fantastic illustrations by Kazuya Takahashi. You can check them out above and below, and don’t forget to read my hands-on preview of the closed beta, nicely decorated with a whopping 723 screenshots.
